Hi all, I'm removing my oil pan today and I had a quick question. At the Back of the oil pan I can see 2 bolts that are halfe on the pan and half behind a wall of the transmission bell housing. I'm attemting to remove the L brackets now between the transmission and the engine.

1) Once I remove that L braket will that plate/wall just come off so I can get to those 2 bolts?

I'm thinking manual cars don't have this problem since I read that some are able to get the oil pan off without removing the L brakets.

2) Is this an ok place to jack up my engine from the bell housing?
