Oil Pan/Pump question

Is there any reason I can't make the KA24DE oil pan work with my Hardbody by cutting, rotating, and welding the pan back together?

How about the oil pickup screen/tube? Can I use the Frontier's? Can I extend the tube without problems?

Not worried about wiring (Megasquirt), mounts, not really (welding the oil pan, am I really worried about making mounts).

Making small modifications to the oil pan is relatively simple, relocating the sump is another thing.

Well, I'm not really relocating the sump, but the pickup screen. I'm thinking it won't be any different than Chevy guys modifying Ford engines to fit in their vehicles.
