oil pan installed, rear oil pan gasket may have moved

When I installed my pan, the rear pan seal seemed to have get "squished" out. I checked the front seal and I couldn't see the edges of that one squeezed out, so I wondered if it was ok or normal to look like this. Both ends of the rear pan seal look like this. I can't remember what that seal looked like before I took the pan off :confused:

if you got a good bead all the way around then I'm sure it's fine, it's nto about how it looks, it's about getting a consistant seal, me I like to smear it a bit at the frotn and rear for a lottle extra sealing surface area

I was hoping you'd find this topic - you're always a big help man. I think I will try to smear some across the back of that seal, that's a good idea.

Thanks again! We will probably find out if it leaks in a week or two, hopefully its not too far away though!
