I was just about to buy an "OIL PAN GASKET, 240SX, Use Liquid Gasket - KA24DE" from pinnacle nissan

I am confused.... am I buying liquid gasket or the solid rubber like gasket? or is it suggesting that I am getting the solid rubber gasket but I still have to apply liquid gasket?

No, it means to use a high temperature liquid gasket such as permatex ultra grey that solidifies into a solid gasket :)

should be a tube of stuff, remember gluing together stuff in kindergarten?

just make a good bead all the way around the rim of the pan and bolt it back on, easy man, and it won't degrade over time like a good deal of gaskets. well, not much anyway.

Yep, its the ****! Go to autozone, napa, o'reilleys...ANY auto parts store and ask the dude at the counter where the "Permatex Ultra Grey" is. Once you have it in your hands, you'll understand how to use it, its like a thing of toothpaste with a nozzle. Comes out in gooey liquid form but solidified after you put the pan on. Just let it dry for a few ours.

Does it taste better than the Permatex?

Note: Stupid people, the above is a joke. Liquid gasket is not to be ingested or otherwise taken internally.

Animals sure do love that sweet but deadly coolant. I always make sure I hose off the street/driveway if I spill any. My neighbors wouldn't appreciate the pile of dead squirrels, dogs and cats that would accumulate in front of my house. ;)

I dont know about smell (I cant seem to smell automotive fluids anymore except for gasoline...even gear oil has no smell to me) but I can definitely vouch for it tasting sweet, I was sucking some out of a tight spot with a vacuum hose when I accidentally got it in my mouth...sweet it is!
