How are the seals supose to be, i lost the orignal ones when i took my motor apart. I suspect them to have a flat surface on both sides, am i right? Because the ones i bought from kragen is weird. the part that touches the oilpan is a half circle sorta and the tip of the circle touches the oilpan. I highly doubt that is the right seal. Anyone rebuilding their motor and have a pic of one? (i'm just going to goto nissan tomrrow and order one)

The seals you have seems right, Both front and rear are half moon shaped seals with the ends being flat.

You can use seals of a 1988 nissan pulsar with ca18de engine.

thats weird, but how do they fit, or how do you get them to fit, especially the rear? since it would keep moving around. Do i turn the seals inside how so the flat part touches the oil pan?

oh and another thing, the ones i got seem to be longer than the acual cruve of the front and end of the oilpan.

well for one thing you want to use a bit o RTV to stick them in place.

You shouldn't be putting the seals on the oil pan then attach it to the engine. What you should do, is install the seals to the block with some RTV as the block is grooved for the seals then you can attach the oil pan to the block.
