Oil Pan Diffrences

Is a KA24 & KA24DE oil pan diffrent?? Or are they interchangeable??

I'll stick my nutz out on this one.YES its the same block, the head and acc. are whats different and maybe a few bolting points.

I doubt they are interchangable, the oil pump is different therefore the pickup tube is different.

From what I can tell, they're exactly the same except the dohc motor has this weird little addition on it that sticks off the side, and the drain plugs are in different locations. possibly the baffling inside is different tho...
