How worried should i be that my rb25's oil pan is dented in a little on the bottom? It is dented in a bit on the bottom where the oil plug area is. It was like this when i bought the car(rb already installed), the oil pressure still reads fine. Or at least i think it does, what is the average oil pressure on an rb25 at idle?

A lot of pans seem to become dented on their voyage from Japan to your garage... As long as the dent isn't interfereing with the oil pickup it should be fine. Most guys pull the pan off and bang it out flat, or buy a replacement RB20 or RB25 pan.

The FSM says the correct aprox oil pressure vs RPM on one of the specs pages*. How much pressure do you have?

* Edit: Page EN-48 on my R32 manual shows:

RB20E/RB20DE/RB20DET 600rpm = 1kg/cm^32000rpm = 3kg/cm^36000rpm = 4kg/cm^3

RB26DETT:800rpm = 1.5kg/cm^32000rpm = 3kg/cm^36000rpm = 4.6kgcm^3

Sorry no specs on RB25DET in my fsm. It should be similar to the RB20 though. Check a later FSM to be sure...
