Today I Did Some Maintenance On The J30.....This Included Changing The Spark Plugs(OEM NGK Laser Platinum), Changing The Fuel Filter And Cleaning The MAF And Throttle Bodies......

When I Pulled The Hoses Off Of The Throttle Bodies I Noticed Alot Of Oil Inside And Around That Area, My Question Is What Could Be Causing This Oil To Get There And How Can I Fix It.....

Thanks

PCV valve stuck open. Inspect your pcv and if it still stays open after checking it out, replace it. Just in case, pcv stands for positive crankcase ventilation. The pcv is really suppose to pass blow-by gasses (unburned mixture that got past the piston rings and got to the crankcase) back through your intake to finish burning what was left over. But if your pcv stays stuck open, over a period of time the oil that is splashed around in your crankcase will sooner or later make its way to your intake tract. If you want to find your pcv, follow the hose that is atached on the accordian pipe behind your afm. the hose goes just right under the intake plenum but then comes up right behind the plenum on the driver side of the engine block. that will be your pcv.

if anything, if you want to avoid having this problem again. replace your pcv and then get a oil catch can. it comes in handy just in case your pcv goes out again.
