I took my valve cover off to fix a timing chain rattle on my 93 240. I didn't get the spark plug gasket on right so one of my plug holes got oil in it. I replaced the cover gaskets and cleaned the wire, got all new plugs, and cleaned the hole as well as I could. No leak now, but I check the wire and plug once in awhile and it's always a bit moist in there. I'm think there is still some oil in on the piston? Engine is running strong and I want to keep it that way, so do I need to worry about the oil in there?

where is the oil? on the wire side of the plug or on the electrode side of the plug? And you say moisture? is it oil or water?

No worries, just a bit of residue. Had the same thing happen to me. It'll be fine!
