Odd - most dealers will program that interval at the 3750 mile mark as recommended by the service manual. It would seem like your dealer took a different approach and recommended you take it in a 1000 miles, which is the mark that many auto enthusiasts and experts recommend for your first oil change, as there is a lot of debris that comes out of your first oil change (small metal pieces, etc from the engine beginning to work for the first time and getting set in place correctly). Call your dealer and inquire about it, just to double check.
