maybe im just an idiot but im just wondering how you guys know what lengths to get the oil lines and all the wires in. also when you have to get custom piping (downpipe, I/C) how do they know the exact dimensions at a muffler shop cause you cant just drive it up there with the other parts on with no piping? can you?

You can use measuring tape to figure out the lines and everything.

And yes you can drive your car without exhaust or i/c piping.Just run your normal intake and put a filter on the end of the turbo inlet. I wouldn't suggest spooling the turbo up a bunch not knowing what kind of boost (not really boost at this point but you get my meaning) it's spining because it could still overspin and cause turbo damage.

Who here has done custom I/C piping?

I'm probably going to buy an intercooler pretty soon, and I think I can make it fit, but the piping defeats me.

How much am I looking at to just take the car and intercooler to a muffler shop and say make it work?
