So I decided to remove my GT2871.R setup and revert back to the stock setup ( I liked the low spool time better, quicker engine response ). In doing so, I completely stripped the oil send in the block (to the turbo). I attempted to fix it, but it stripped even worse, and is now un-usable. To fix this problem bought an aftermarket oil line send thing that screwed onto the oil filter assembley in between the assembly itself and the oil filter. This item lets you connect up to four oil sends out of it. I also bought and aftermarket oil line that reaches to the oil filter (as well as the expensive oil line fittings that convert the sizes along the way) It seems however the shop owner I bought it from however seems to know nothing about cars, because when I tried to put it on the oil filter assembly, it only went on a small bit before cracking a small chip of the end off (the oil filter still goes on snug and secure, thank god, but now I cannot use this to fix my problem unless I buy a whole new oil filter assembly for the block, and yess I tried to take it up with him but all he said was, "no, thats the right one, you broke it"...***holes) Anyways, now my only option seems to run that same aftermarket line from the oil pressure send next to the oil filter, which means I will have to buy new fittings for that end.I have been trying to fix this all winter now, and I'm dying to fix it and get out on the track/road/anthing again My question is, do you guys, who have vast amounts of knowledge in this field, know of any other ways I could fix this? What should I do? Oil pressure send? Another area? Any help or comments would be of GREAT help.

You could retap the stock oil hole with a slightly larger thread, get the correct AN fitting and make some braided SS lines. I thought i screwed my coolant line in the block but i ran a tap the same size to help clean the threads, then took the stock bolt in a thread at a time and backed it out to fix it. Took me a few hours, but i was able to avoid retapping it.

PITA would be not getting metal shavings in the block.

That will definitely be tricky. I suggest you do as was mentioned, with an oversized tape.

As for the shaving, get a pretty strong magnet and rub it against the tap, then maybe stuff some towels in the hole and don't go too fast on the tap.
