The best thing to do is do an actual oil pressure test. If the pressure is good, then it is a oil pressure switch or wiring issue.

If you don't have access to a pressure gauge you could just try putting on a new sensor and see if that helps, but it may be wasted time and money.

I have a problem like that, you see my oil light is not on... and it should have been on and it should still be on. I found out my oil sensor was disconnected and so I connected it but I still have low oil and it's really dirty but the light just doesn't care. I think my ecu could be dead or something if it's possible...

check your wiring from the sender to the ecu, also test the sensor

How low is low? I don't know the specs for sure but a LOT of the pressure lights will not come on until the pressure is REALLY low. Something on the order of less than 5 PSI.

I personaly get concerned whenever the pressure is lower than 10 PSI even though that may be "normal" for a warm engine at low idle. Not paniced just concerned.
