Hi, I have a Nissan ute with plenty of clean oil in it, but when I first start it the oil light comes on for a few seconds. Not sure what is causing this. It's a ka24e motor. Thanks

You get a light for low oil or for your oil change interval, whichever happens first. So, is the person who changes your oil resetting the oil change timer?

I think you do it with drivers door open, put key in and start engine, within the first 5 seconds, while your wrench is flashing, hold down the trip odometer post for like 3 seconds, then the mileage or kilometer number flashes on the indicator, then you turn the car off... something like that. Try it and let us know please.
