I just had another s13 sr swapped in. Driving fine other than my ECU doesn't send a signal to the fuel pump. So I need a new one asap. But I ran a direct wire with a relay for now.

However, I just noticed that the oil light is on for 3 seconds ONLY on start up.
What's wrong here?

I'm not an SR expert, but I dealt with this on a FWD SR several years ago - I'd be looking at a bad oil pump or oil pump pickup (since they can get damaged by shady importers letting them sit on the oil pan).

I'm going to agree with the pickup... As far as your fuel pump, I had the same issue. To be honest, you should hardwire the fuel pump anyway. Deatschwerks sells a kit for like $30 http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/pro ... cts_id=231

Thanks AZhitman, that's what I was afraid of. I'll be ordering a s14 pickup tube asap. I just prey that my oil pump is still good!

Pyroniak, how do you switch your pump off? If I turn off my car and then the pump, my engine is flooded. If I turn the switch off first and then the car, it'll burn off that access gas. What am I harming by doing this?

The hardwiring kit will come with instructions for wiring to shutoff your pump when you shutoff the ignition.
DEATSCHWERKS wrote:The hardwire kit is a kit we put together to bypass the OEM wiring and power your fuel pump directly from the battery. Full instructions are included which better explain it. But basically, we use your OEM circuitry to power a relay which then switches on the power directly from your battery to your pump. Once installed the system is completely transparent and seamless. The pump primes, turns on and turns off, just as it would if it were wired OEM. So you don';t have to worry about any toggle switches or anything. Just turn the key and drive!
