This has been happening for maybe a year now, I change my oil every 3k miles and still every time I start my car the oil light stays on longer then the rest of the lights.
Maybe a sensor? What do you guys think?

How long?
If it's more than a second, maybe 2 AT THE MOST...then you have issues.
If it's only for a second, then try a different oil filter. Good filters have an anti-drainback valve that will kep the filter mostly full of oil...so when you start the car, it just has to pressurize...not fill the filter, then pressurize.
OEM filters are a great choice. Mobil 1 and Purolater Pure One are good as well.
Never use FRAM.

Well I dont think its the filter... I ALWAYS use Mobil 1 filer & Oil, one time since ive owned the car I had to use a K&N because they were out of the Mobil 1 at two different stores. I always change it on time within 500 miles, but I do notice sometimes when I'm driving it smells like unburned oil... so I might just have a leak somewhere. I wouldnt think that would cause the light to come on though.

In filter tests...they've been shown to break down, not filter as well, have ****ty drainback valves, etc...all bad things.Ekinchheng wrote:Why not

i had a fram before the past oil change, everytime i would start the car i would hear the valves tappin for a couple of secs(oil light was way off by then), changed to a mobil 1 filter and the valve tap sound went off.(ps. i tried lookin for an AC delco filter, but nether o'reilly autoparts or autozone carries the 1 for our cars, i believe because that 1 was discontinued, but i don't totally know)
