beginning around 2000 miles after an oil change. It also is kinda flickery. There are no real leaks to speak of, and it doesn't smoke. It has around 165K miles in it. Is this fairly normal?

No, I'm not a Nissan expert, but still I can say that's not normal. How's the oil level? Mine goes thru much more than I would like and if it's too low it could cause your condition. What oil are you using? Spec is pretty thin, but if you're using something like 0-20 it would make it more likely. And switches have been known to go bad. Actually after checking the level that's the first thing I'd do, change the oil pressure switch. They're usually pretty cheap and easy to change, although again, I don't even know where it is on mine.

It will be 1/2 Q to 1 Q low by the time I've put 3000 miles since oil change. But it doesn't drip any on the concrete.
