I know that overfilling your crankcase with oil is about as bad as letting it get way low. I picked up my new 2010 "S" about three weeks ago. Recently, I was getting acquainted with things under the hood. I checked the fluid levels and noticed that the oil level (after the car was sitting level for a few hours) was at the point on the dipstick where that little "U" bend is. This is somewhat higher than the book says for the full mark. Any problems with this?

a little extra won't hurt, but TOO much extra can blow seals.

if in doubt, drain some of the oil to the max level.

check oil before elaving stealership and comment if needed.
