Oil level - Porbably a stupid question (I am paranoid!)

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Ok, all that talk about oils in a previous tread got me thinking and checking the oil on my 2010 EX35 with less than 12k (miles) or 17.5KM. I noticed that the oil level is halfway between the two "holes" on the dipstick. Exactly half way. The car has sat for about 24 hours (flat surface). Is the oil too low? The owner manual seems to say anything in between is fine. Is it?

Thanks

You should be fine.... be concerned if that level drops over time as that may indicate your EX35 is burning oil.

CHECKING ENGINE OIL LEVEL
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and
apply the parking brake.
2. Run the engine until it reaches operating
temperature.
3. Turn off the engine. Wait more than 15
minutes for the oil to drain back into the oil
pan.
4. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean.
Reinsert it all the way.
5. Remove the dipstick again and check the
oil level. It should be within the range 1 .
If the oil level is below 2 , remove the oil
filler cap and pour recommended oil
through the opening. Do not overfill 3

If you get the Dealer to change your Oil, check it before you leave their Parking-lot... and make sure its near full.
