alright, so i was having over heating problems and didnt have the money or time to get around to it so i took it easy and then a couple of weeks later, my car wouldnt start. it turns over, but no combustion and i noticed that there was oil all over the outside of my block and water pump below the head. so i replaced the radiator, water pump, head gasket and exhaust gasket and the same thing was happening after i tried to start it again. found the oil leak this time though and its massive, haha. its coming from a hole in the head right behind the outside to the timing chain tensioner about the size of my pointer finger. the hole is perfeclty round and seems as if high tempertures and pressures just forced something out of there. no threads in the hole though. any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

KA24de? Sounds like a freeze plug or something popped out although I am not sure. I've taken several ka's apart and cannot for the life of me picture what you are describing. Can you take a photo?

yeah, sounds like it could be a freeze plug. check along the block and see if there are other holes that are still plugged. a picture would help.

heres a picture of a freeze plug:

yeah, sorry. my camera is messing up on me lately. its actually a sr20 and its a hole in the head and you can only reach it from an angle from below. i'll work on the pic. thanks for the input though....i'll look again, haha.
