No offense, man, but I can barely figure out what you're talking about. Short sentences and punctuation are good things. Also, a little spell checking might not hurt.

Anyway, I'm assuming you have the Dual Overhead Cam KA24DE engine. What year is your car?

It sounds like you have oil leaking from the upper half of the cover on the front of the engine. When you say it's leaking from the edges, do you mean up near the valve cover?

While synthetic oil will be thinner than an equally rated conventional oil, the leak wouldn't be caused by the oil you use. There are two rubber gaskets between the head and the valve cover, RTV used on the sides of the upper cover (running a bead on the inner side of the bolt holes, toward the engine) and then the head gasket extending out at the bottom between the upper and lower covers at the front of your engine.

If I had to guess, I'd say either a) your valve cover gasket got torn or is dried out OR b) you didn't get a good bead of RTV on the front upper cover when you did your tensioner.

Hope that helps, and let me know if any of the assumptions I made were incorrect.

I had oil leaking out underneath my valve cover...

What happened was I went crazy when I torqued the two front valve cover bolts and stripped the holes, so there was barely any seal there at all. Guess it wouldn't hurt to check those out too.

It was a quick fix with a Helicoil.
