hello i'm a first time poster.great site. there is lots of info here. my 2003 3.5 seem to be oil leaking from behind my oil filter mount. (that mount is right up tight to where the pan mounts to the engine)and its running down to my left rear bolt on my oil pan. is it posible for that oil to leaking from behind the mount and if so where would i find the bolts to tighten it ? or should i be looking else where. Thanks

Well if your 100% where the oil leak is coming from then just go to the dealer and ask them what seals are there that need to be replaced. But if you are unsure then clean the area and some of its surrounding areas, then see where it comes from.

The dealer (if your friendly) can give you some really helpful diagrams on fixing this and more.

Replace the oil seal on the oil cooler. Remove your oil filter, let the oil drain. Grab 2 small vise grips and pinch off the 2 small hose which lead up to the oil cooler so that coolant does not flow out. Remove hose clamps, push hoses off the way. Remove the oil mount/oil cooler bolt. I believe is a 21mm or 22mm. Once thats off, pull back the oil cooler, and replace the orange oil seal there. That should take care of the problem. If it continues to leak, replace the whole oil cooler assembly. The face will be warped. Happens often. Done that job many a times here at the dealership.
