Oil leak with brand new 2011 QX

Strange, our new 2011 QX with 3k miles is leaking oil. Coming from the engine area and noticed small pool of oil on my garage floor. I wiped it up and a few days later it is there again. I will be taking it in soon to see what the situation is. Hopefully loose oil plug.

Did you just have the oil changed? Plug could very well need to be tightened.........and if nothing else, it is under warranty and Infiniti will take care of it.

I never had the oil changed so this is surely a strange issue. I took it to the dealer today and they tell me the oil leak is coming from the "left valve cover gasket on front corner" so they cleaned it and added die so they can trace it if the oil re-appears. I would say this is a little concerning on a brand new vehicle with 3400 miles. Thankfully it is a lease and under warranty. The dealer assured me that if the oil drops continue on my garage floor that they would take care of it.

Stay tuned, will keep you guys posted on if it continues to leak oil.
