I have an sr20det red top in my ae86 corolla. The motor was rebuilt not to long ago and it is leaking oil. I cant figure out exactly where it is leaking from, but the cover on the block is where the oil is. There is no oil on the ground after I park it for a while and the oil level is where it is supposed to be. I was told by a mechanic the when the motor was rebuilt that the guy that put it together did not use rtv sealant on the steel headgasket. I did some searching and only one person used a sealant on the front of the gasket to prevent "Wheeping" as he described. I know it is hard to answer this without seeing the motor, but if anyone has experienced anything like this before please let me know.

It could very well be from the front of the head gasket. It just kind of depends on where you see the oil primarily and if it looks like it's been slung (leaky front mains will have their oil slung by the crank pulley as it spins)
