Replace mechanic.

Oops....sorry that was no help. Well, maybe it was. The only thing I can think of which would allow oil to leak on top of the engine is the valve cover. But I have NOT had one of these engines apart and my ignorance is vast, so I may be smokin' crack.

But, hang in there a bit, the calvary is on the way. Some pretty smart fellers on here.

VC gasket leaks manifest themselves on the low side above the exahust headers.

But I agree with Mako, someone may be servicing you, but he's not doing so good on the car.

Can't recall any other FGY33 owner saying anything about oil pooling in the valley.

Maybe it's the way he's replacing it?

The '97 FSM on NICO doesn't really show it, so I'm checking the '98 for you. I don't know anything about Q's past 96 so I'm hoping that it won't be a major change from '97 to '98 as far as the valve covers go.

*Edit*

I can't find anything on in EM section. Maybe someone else can find the issue?

Is the shop working on Q45's often? Hopefully you didn't pay him twice! With all the factors and different gaskets/pressure unit options finding your leak online is going to be hard if not impossible. It could be dozens of things. You might take a pic but that may not help us at all.
