oil leak

i have a pretty serious oil leak from my sr. its only been running a week. im pretty sure its my valve cover in the rear because its pissing onto my bell housing. i know its not my rear main seal. are there any other oil lines or nething it could be leaking out of?

isn't the oil line from behind the motor, against the firewall? or is that the water line? forgot

that's the coolant line.

take a flashlight and look at the rear of the head, if you see oil, then it's your valve cover gasket. If you don't, you'll be getting familiar with your rear main seal.

oo there is oil all on the firewall, rear head and all over my coil pack subharness....valve cover huh?

its pretty common not to get the half circles on the back of the valve cover gasket not on right. This will cause it to leak oil down the back of the motor and over your bellhousing, disguising itself has the rear main seal. stick your hand back there and see if you feel oil back there, run your finger against the valve cover and your head and feel the gasket all the way through.

yesterday my brother and i pulled the valve cover off in the middle of the UCONN parking garage! lol, we checked the gasket and it looked good, so my plan now is to RTV the whole gasket and hope that will fix the problem.

i had to that to mine, cept mine was leaking out of the side by the injectors...but the RTV worked quite nicely
