I have 93 240 sx (130k mi) with a bad engine oil leak. I appears to be in the front of the engine(but is very messy to be sure). Any ideas and solutions? Thanks

Yea i have a bad oil leak on my car as well, its an 89 with 170some miles. The compartments a mess the oil gets all over the drive belts and fan and shoots everywhere. Itcauses my drive belts to slip n make this annoying squeeling sound n its starting to get on my K&N cone filter. Soo i think its about time i took it to the shop, i hope it wont be too much money.. My advice to you would be to get it fixed professionaly i dun think theres an easy way to fix it yourself. Good luck!

Timing chain cover gasket.. has the timing belt been replaced? If not here is your oppurtunity so that they fix the leak at the same time!

i Just developed an oil leak too. Valve cover gasket is leaking in the front. I have 132,000 on mine. Kits for that are only $25

what's going on? just age and use. Its normal for any car. Good way to find out what is leaking.... clean the engine with degeaser and run the engine idle 2 min., run at higher rpm for 3- 5 min, then idle 10- 15 min. Look for leaks while the engine is running. Sometimes leaks don't show unless the engine is cycling the oil.
