oil leak on 2002 maxima

i just bought a 2002 maxima se didnt see any oil leaking car sat in garage for a week before i noticed the dreaded oil spot looks like not such a gret deal after all. oil seems to be comming from above the oil plug area cant realy get under to see it probably need to lift it to tell exactly are 02s prone to leak in this area can anyone help thanks jim.

Oxygen sensors don't touch oil so they wouldn't leak at all. It's either the pan is leaking or the oil pressure sending unit is leaking. Best bet is to get under the car, clean off the excess oil and let it run for about 20 mins. After that, get back under there and see where the oil is originatiing from.

I dont think he was saying it was coming from the 02 sensor i think it was supposed to go like this: "need to lift to tell exactly. Are (2002) (Maxima)'s prone to leak in this area?" Well at least thats what i got from it.
