Good day...

I have a spot of oil dripping every day about 2" in dia. The oil filter is coated with oil. I clean up the filter and area above it and a couple days later it is coated and oil dripping of it again.

I replaced the oil pressure switch and the oil filter but it has made no difference??? I also tightened the oil pan bolts.

Where else should I be looking for the leak?

Thnxs for your expertise and suggestions.

I'm not a mechanic, however, I broke more than I fixed and paid dearly. Here are somethings you could check.

Don't buy those stop leak additives. It sounds like the leak is bigger than they could handle.Try a new filter. it may be warped or a pinhole leak. Highly unlikly, but its a cheap fix. While you are in the area, clean throughly with some degreaser or go to the car wash and try spraying in that area . make sure you don't spray near electrical wires, etc.. You might be leaking from a valve cover or oil pan.

Over tighting the covers/gaskets is just as bad as being too loose.

Go to a parts store and they should have a red die additive that will show up to ultra violet light. You add it to the oil and after a day, bingo you see the oil leak clear as day.

The only other two areas are the main bearing and rear seal, but it doesn't sound like it is coming from there.

Keep us posted dcg

sounds like your front engine seals are leaking - time for a timing belt/water pump job while doing engine seals. they can leak behind the front cover and leak down.

Thnxs for the good info guys. I changed the T belt and water pump 6 months ago. The seal could be the problem but from what I can see it is not coming from there.

I like the idea of the red dye. It would sure help me see where it is coming from. Will check our local auto parts supplier to see if I can get some. I once used the dye in my Air Conditioner to find a leak. Is it the same stuff?
