Dipstick popping out is a sign of too high pressure in the crankcase, as I understand it, this can be caused by clogged up crankcaseventilation, or in the worst case, worn out pistonrings

, this could also explain the smokescreen I'n afraid.
My advise would be to check your crankcaseventilation, and do a compressiontest when the engine is warmed up. If the values are to low, pour a littlebit of engineoil in the cylinders and test again, if this increases the compression, the pistonrings are probably worn out...
