Hey guys I got another problem its an oil leak issue its leaking on the turbo side. Now I have a ss oil feedline and and thats dry but there is oil all down the turbo side of the block and I can't really pinpoint where it's coming from. My only guess is the valvecover or dipstick. and it on'y leaks under pressure (under boost) if I stay out of boost it doesn't leak but in boost it does. Enough to create a huge smokescreen on the road. Also the dipstick pops out under pressure as well. Has anyone else ever had this problem and how did you guys fix it or pinpoint it?

Also just checked the pcv via the fsm's instructions and it seems to be working fine. so now I'm really confused....

Dipstick popping out is a sign of too high pressure in the crankcase, as I understand it, this can be caused by clogged up crankcaseventilation, or in the worst case, worn out pistonrings :(, this could also explain the smokescreen I'n afraid.
My advise would be to check your crankcaseventilation, and do a compressiontest when the engine is warmed up. If the values are to low, pour a littlebit of engineoil in the cylinders and test again, if this increases the compression, the pistonrings are probably worn out...

Ah sorry, so PCV = crankcase ventilation :) did not know that.
Hmm, so its not the PCV nor the pistonrings, what else could cause too much pressure in the crankcase, too much oil, or perhaps a blocked oilchannel somewhere? Not much more I can think of at this point :S

i think ive heard of just the dipstick rubber being worn out causing it to blow out of the tube. and is the oil leak possibly coming from the oil feed fitting on the side of the block?

I'll bet you have an obstruction in the PCV tube that comes off of the oil filter mount, run under the intake manifold, and connects to the back of the intake side valve cover. It's infamous for getting plugged up and blocking air flow.

Also, unless you do a compression or leak down test you don't KNOW that the rings are fine.

I do know the rings are fine in my previous post I said I did a comp test and its good. Also I cleaned the side of the block with break clean to try an pin point the leak but since then the leak has disappeared and the dipstick hasn't popped out but none of the hoses were clogged so iono what the deal is.....
