on mine the oil is leaking down the oil pan, coming from behind the crank pulley....it only leaks when the car is running, and when i give it gas it leaks a lot more.... again it comes down from near the crank pulley and drips down the oil pan...

what is the leak coming from and how easy to fix??

it sounds like it is ur rear main seal. you'll have to replace it. do it asap, because an oil leak can cause low oil pressure and that will lead to engine damage and wear.

i thought that the seal behind the crank pulley was the front main seal

It's the front main seal if its leaking from behind the crank pulley. Doing a replacement is fairly simple. The pulley may come off easy it may not do your self a favor and borrow a crank puller and a seal puller to make things easy. After you get the seal out clean up the area then lube the new seal good and tap it in softly all the way around until it's flush. Mount the pulley and tighten the bolt to 100ft/lbs and she'll be good to go.
