So for a while the car has been having a hard time turning on when its cold, also the smell of burnt oil, and lots of smoke when i gas it. I did the oil change yesterday as i've only had this car for 3 months, i notice there was fresh oil around the exhast flange of the 3rd pipe on the exhast manifold. This can explain the reason for the high Nox doring the smog check. the motor still halls a** and idles good so i have a feeling its not a bad block, but a blown gasket. I just want to make sure and get all you guys opinion on this. If you need a picture of it let me know and ill put it up. Ill appreciate your help

Oil could be coming from a bad gasket, bad valve steam seal, or even a ring issue.

Have you compression tested motor? Does the oil smell like gas?

I will rent a compression tester this weekend, and it smells more like oil and but it can be a mix of both. Its only on the 3rd flange from the exhaust manifold. i will unbolt the manifold to try and get a better look. i might drop some sealer to see if it holds for a while just to save money and fix the problem
