oil leak 95 j30

my 95 j30 ( 122k ) had an oil leak on valve cover, took to infiniti they want $1200 plus parts, so i went to small shops that do japanese cars, they estimate $700, is it a must to do it now or can it wait ? it's a small leak but since the oil drop in the manifolt sometimes i could smeel burning inside the car, any suggestion will help ....

That seems REALLY expensive for labor, but maybe i'm underestimating the job. 10 hours or so?
