What is this thing's purpose? Where exactly is it located? I don't remember anything like this in my engine. Could lacking this cause the problem I'm having with low oil pressure and perpetually ticking lifters, no matter what I do?

well when i first took my motor apart it had this ( oil jet/restrictor ) thing in the deck of the block i took it out to get the deck machined. then when i was putting it back together i didnt reinstall it ( cuz im an idiot). what this part does is that it restricts oil being pumped to the head. not having this installed could give problems oil presure problems in ure case it is a restrictor and restricting the oil could build more pressure? in my case im getting blow by so ive also been told this could solve my problem. DOES ANYBODY HAVE 1

I don't have one, but can you describe what it looks like? Is it just like a ball bearing a spring? Was it pressed in the block? I'm about 90% sure I don't have anything like this in my block or head. I have low oil pressure and I can't get my lifters to quiet up.

I was able to find the Nissan part number using the FAST manual BioSehnsucht hosts on his website (impactblue.org) The part number is 11036D4200, which yields 'JET-OIL CYLINDER' at onlyfactoryparts.com at a price of $0.65.

This thread scared the **** out of me at first, as I didn't remember this part during the assembly process at ALL. Looking through my pictures of the block before assembly it looks like it was decked by the machine shop while still in place. Uh-oh. I must not have noticed it, as it looks like it was pressed in or something serious. Well, at least it's there. I'll have my fingers extra crossed on start-up, lol.

yes yes jet oil thats what nissan told me but they dont make them n~e more and u cant get the 0.65$ part N~E WHERE in the usa brand new. most people probly never noticed it and got the deck machined while it was in there. yes they r sumwhat pressed in but u can get them out. it looks like a 1/4 inch wide cylinder with a small *** hole in it. go to this web site here is sum performance ones for a skyline http://www.japaneseperformance....html

wow, i looked on my block. And it is just like sydwayz said.a small pin hole right in front of a head bolt.

I don't see what its purpose is. Like, what could that small hole accomplish?

Since that's my block, I guess that means I've got one then.

Back to the drawing board.

BTW, just so you guys know, the RB guys, noticed that while sustaining a high RPM for long periods of time.. IE: nurburgring..haha, but curcuit racing, drifting, just being a d!ck on the highway that too much oil flows into head

since the drains arnt exsactly the best, you basically end up with ur valvecovers being the oil pan..symptons can be A LOT of "blowby"

Our motors, suffer the same design paradigm

What the RB guys have done, is that rear oil jet, theyve completly blocked it off. It will result in higher oil pressures and maybe louder valvetrane at idle, but if your gonna keep 'er at 8k for a while, this might be something worth looking into.

Also, on that note, the rear most lower valve cover breather on the passanger side of the block, closest to the intake manifold, the hard line that the rubber hose connects to, can get gummed up, so if you take this off and clean it, ull have less oil drainage problems,

Something to consider if you're using your CA for motorsports

EDIT: on second note, it doesnt look like we HAVE 2 of those like the RB guys, but on the same note, getting a smaller orifice will do the exsact same thing.

Custom compression forged pistons from CP at 83.5mm. The compression is about 10:1. It was supposed to be 9.5:1, but I recently found out that I sent them the wrong piston to copy, hence the hellacious dome.

I've considered this, but it does it at idle, crusing around town, on the highway. The lifters always tick.
