In my 240 its burning oil, at first i thought it may be the head gasket, but then i took off the PCV and there was oil in it. What could be the problem and how to fix it. thanks

It sounds as if you have worn rings. This is causing you to not only burn oil, but the additional blow-by is causing a lot of excess oil-carrying gas out the PCV. The oil mist is simply accumulating in the valve.Time for a compression and leakdown check.

Umisnt that what the PCV valve is for? Recycle crankcase fumes so they get burned up.. thus... things would get oily... because there is a lot of oil in there...

True, but his comment implies excessive oil. Maybe not.
