Oil in spark plugs/cylinder

Discuss the RB20, RB25 and RB26 series engines.

****, so today I go to change the spark plugs and theres oil on the threads. So... I'm assuming its not good

-Piston Rings going out?-Could this be caused by excessive blow by?

indeed, it can be quite normal to have oil on the threads if the valve cover gaskets have gone down the crapper, or if you used antisieze before you put the plugs in (which you should have).

man thats the biggest sigh of relief.... i use anti sieze on my plugs and its only on the threads
