not like wet oil

but it's like blow by oil.... same kind that I find on intake piping due to lack of oil catch can

it's very thin

is this normal or does it mean my friend's turbo is about to die? or just the seal?

where is the valve cover hose connected?

if the oil is right after the turbo then the turbo is most likely goin to give up(turbo seals), if its in the cold pipe and you have your valve cover hose going to it and you see oil, most likely the piston rings are lettin pressure blow-by which makes the oil go up and out the valve cover hose.(piston rings are bad)
