oil in #3 and multiple symptoms

Ok after much head scratching and profanity. Heres the symptoms and guess of causes.... Car missfires on #3, white smoke coming from exhaust. And has a rather thick coat of oil on sparkplug in #3. compression test done today . #1 was 110lbs #2 125 #3 was 140-149 #4 was 124. Now the mechanic administering this test was sure fast to jump on the whole "blown head gasket" thing. My question is, could it be something as simple as a leaky o-ring in my valves? because a few days (3-4) there was a ticking sound.... and i put in engine restore and the ticking resided. so....... any ideas, i have less than 14 hours now to figure out this problem, or have it towed and have a mechanic put on a HG that may not even be blown! he has estimated the repair between $800-$2000. car also has 160k.. also if anyone knows how to get those o-rings or there name let me know... :helpp.s. when i open the radiator cap theres a sound like im opening a 2 liter of pepsi, so if it was cracked head then the water pressure wouldnt be there .. right?
