Hello, Thanks for the help last time guys. I replaced the brake booster & everything works pretty good now.

My question is that I found some oil (looks like motor oil) in the old brake booster that was leaking.

Is there suppose to be oil in there?

If not, did it get there cuz the brake booster was leaking or is something else wrong?

THANKS!

It is brake fluid, probably from the back of the master cyl. Did you notice if the master was leaking when you pulled it out?

master cylinder seemed fine, but I replaced that too (wanted to get the 1 1/16 cylinder).

That would make sense tho.

The way I found it was leaking was when I took it out and put it down (upside down), all this oil went out from the brake booster hose.

When I took the master cylinder from the brake booster, no leak...

When I took the brake booster from the engine bay, no leak...

I was just after I set it down the wrong way - poor driveway...

So I'm not suppose to have fluid in there right?

Thanks Nistech. Damn, replacing a brake booster is a *****!!!

No your not suppose to have fluid in there. The master is the only place the fluid can come from. since you replaced it you should be ok.

I know they suck to do.
