ok, so i have this oil pressure gauge (its an autometer phantom). It works great with my oil filter adapter. I recently aquired an adapter to put the oil pressure gauge in my block where the stock oil pressure sensor is (removed stock sensor, didnt work).

My question is that the adapter has a really tiny inlet..would this affect my oil pressure readings? should i dill it out a little bit to make the inlet bigger?

you should still get an accurate overall reading through that small hole.although how quick the needle moves in the gauge will be affected by that orifice size.I have a pretty good sized fitting in mine and my oil pressure gauge moves fast, like a little tach.

the inlet side for the OE oil sending unit is 1/8BSPTso technically you need to know the exact size of the autometer sensor fitting so you can get a reducer fitting that will work from the autometer sensor thread size to the 1/8bspt the block size uses.

yea i have a 1/8 bspt adapter, its in the block right now.. i just dont know if the opening in the adapter is big enough to skew the pressure reading?

No, It shouldn't affect the readings at all. It would have to be approaching pin hole size for it to affect the readings.
