Oil filters.

Browsing internet I catch comparison of 4 top brand oil filters (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... ?t=1662838).

I always use Mobil1 (M1-108), but from this review its look like is garbage.

I performed some search about filters, and find this website with Oil Filter Comparison Study

I arrange some filters by their parameters. Top is better.

Amsoil - EA15K12-EA
Fram Xtended Guard XG5 - XG6607
Bosch - D3300
K&N - HP-1008
Mobil1 - M1-108

What do you use? And what is your opinion about this list?

That's interesting I had no idea the M1-108 filter media was so small!
I have used both the Bosch and Mobil 1. Haven't had a problem with either one, but I think from now on I will just stick to the Bosch.

its not all about the media. the biggest thing is how its all put together. fram glues, yes GLUES, their cardboard to the paper. others staple. some crimp.

THIS IS WHY I ALWAYS SAY, JUST BECAUSE THE OIL CAN LAST 15,000miles THAT DOES NOT MEAN THE FILTER WILL!!!! get the extended drains if you plan on going longer than 5k.

i personally use whatever is on sale at the local store. i dont go over 5k. often its at 4k.

I know it's not all about the media, but on those cut outs the mobil 1 is shorter and half as wide as the Bosch. Seems like the Bosch would filter twice as well.

I got FRAM XG6607 and even it was stated good for 15,000 miles I'm still planning to change mine at 7,000-7,500 miles but personally I prefer oem stuff:
