Where in God's name did those japs put the oil filter?

FIRST TIME :crazy:

For the first time or every time Jack up the front px side properly support car with stands, remove the front right tire, now slide under from the side were the tire was and look up at the lower rh side of the motor :chuckle:

and release the pressure on the jack and squish yourself.

It tends to be messy.
I don't pull the tire but when the cars up on ramps it's a snap.

My garage floor is painted enamel , I can never get the Js on the ramps the ramps just slide away.
My sons Pontiac and our Cobalt go up fine must be the weight.

I don't take the tire off either tried to make it easy to find for AC the first time.

Haha You guys are great. I'm not a total idiot, I just got accustomed to domestic cars and their specially made for the special ed design. I just had a little trouble finding my way around the j I just got from a repo auction.

15 year old cars at repo auctions?? Do tell...

I just did an OC for the 1st time on mine too. I had to look at the owners manual, then the car, then the owners manual, etc... I just rolled up on 2x6s and needed to put a floor jack back by the rear pass. door for a couple extra inches.

You think this one's tough, try my Expedition 4x4 -- it's designed for only the rear splined type filters -- of course I don't always get those because I like pain, and cussing, and pain, and making a mess.

Oh and then there was that '78 Ford Fiesta my ex-wife had. A Cortina motor put sideways in a FWD car with the oil filter dead center above the cat converter and against the firewall, about an arms legnth up and impossible to get to from the top.

I did mention she was my ex-wife, didn't I? :chuckle:
