In order to relocate the filter, you'll need a filter plate. Circuit Sports/Tomei both make one for SR's that utilize -8 or -10 plugs. From there you'll need custom lines, and a new custom filter housing for your kit.

I personally used a Circuit sports block, made my own lines, and then used a Ford specific Permatex filter block that used a large FL-A1 Ford (302/351 and 5.0) filter (3/4x16 thrad pitch)

Here's a (crappy) pic of where I put my filter.

Mine (chilling back there in the corner). Bad picture. But used the Tomei Oil Block, -10AN lines. I have since added a large oil cooler.

I am guessing you are talking about using a screw-on filter adapter? Just be careful, I know some of the roadrace guys (from NissanRoadRace.com) ran into problems with this.

btw why would you use ka when fwd sr ones fit...seems kinda a** backwards to me...and some people should really not post/reply if they have no f'in idea of what they're talking about. You're probably the same people I find with jbwelded cars/engines.

Who exactly are you referring to?
There's some mixed information in this thread, and some assumptions, but nobody here has made an jackas* out of themselves or said anything that makes it sounds like they "have no f'in idea". If you want to hate on people, NICO isn't really the place.

To hopefully clear things up:

S13 uses 3/4 x 16
S14/S15 uses 20 x 1.5
KA24DE uses 3/4 x 16

This is why some have had luck using the KA24DE oil fitlers while others have not, depends if you are S13 or S14.
I do agree though, makes things easy by cross-referencing FWD parts.
S13 SR20 - Use '92 Sentra (SE-R 2.0L)
S14 SR20 - Use '98 Sentra SE (2.0L)

for example
with the rb being aluminum block and head
by a member ..sorry just irritates me as some of the newbs like to post things they don't know first hand...It just seems like people would read up first before making assumptions...I get irritated only on occasion...and sometimes I like to check a member's posts to see how much :bs: is being posted...I like a no :bs: forum too trust me

I agree.
I just didn't know who you were referring to in this particular thread.
