Does anyone know the thread diameter and pitch of the oil filter used on the VH45DE? I know it's also the same filter used on the J and 300Z motor...

Looking at remote filter relocation kits and I want to make sure I get the right one.

Disregard - I just found the answer (sort of). The 240SX filter is the same as ours, and they make a kit for the 240.... :D

AZ,The OEM is 3/4"-16 thread, filter 2-63/64" OD; gasket 2-3/4" OD/2-15/16" ID.How does that area under the active suspension access hole we talked about look? I did my brake job Sat. and got too lazy to remove the liners and measure the space.

Looks perfect. Thet's where I'm shooting for. Only difference: I'm not going to enlarge the hole (ActSus). I'll keep the entire assembly beneath the level of that panel and mount the filter on it (hanging). Probably have to fab up a 90 degree bracket... I still want to do Dennis's airbox mod, so I'll need that space.

Oil cooler is going right behind the front air intake low in the bumper (I'll cover it with metal mesh for added protection).
