i just did my first oil change on my sr motor. I used castrol 15/40 heavy duty oil and an oil filter for a 93 sentra se-r. I'm not sure if these are the culprits but after the oil change i started hearing a new sound coming from the engine bay. I can best describe it as a sucking/blowing sound. It gets louder as I accelerate.I'm zeroing in on the oil filter. Perhaps I didn't put it on tight enough? Or did I knock something off else where on the engine like a plug or hose of some sort?

Any help would be appreciated.

i would think that it might be a vaccum hose if it is coming from the engine, have you checked the obvious first like the engine fans

if the oil filter was loose it would leak oil, i use 10w-30 synthetic with a nippon filter and i never had a problem, check your air filter
