So, it's time to change my oil. I looked up the filter for our car and bought the Mobil 1-108 filter on the interweb. It arrived and I'm amazed and how small this thing is. I've never seen a motor w/ such a small filter. Even my rav4 w/ the 3.5 motor had a larger cartridge. I looked around and the M1-110 is the same diameter but is longer giving it more surface area to filter inside. Any opinions on this or am I worrying about stupid s***? I'll run the 108 this time but I'm considering the 110 for my next oil change.

I use the M1-110. On both my bike and my car.

Is that filter able to be used on the 5.6?

I agree smaller isn't better in this instance in my opinion.

No issues using it.

The correct filter for our cars is the 15208-9E000 and the M1-110 shows to be the equivalent when you cross it. Been running them on VK56 engines for years.

Double checked even Mobils web page and the M1-110 is the recomeended filter for my 2011 M56S.

Sorry, I should have specified I'm running the M37. I would expect the 110 for the 56 but still the 108 is very small even for the M37's V6...

Another vote for the v8 filter for use on the v6. Just look up the part for any Nissan/Infiniti V8. I've been using Titan/M45/M56 models for lookup purposes and used whatever good brand for years on my G35 and now M37.

It's all the same thread...if it screws on, you can use it. Since the 110 will, knock yourself out lol. There is plenty of room down there for a bigger filter.
