Oil / Filter change warning

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Is there a way to turn this off without going to the dealer? I keep asking mine to turn it off permanently and he diligently keeps resetting it. Thanks for your help.

I am not talking about warnings in the nav. screen. Those are easy to turn off. I am talking about red warnings that come up on the screen between tach and speedo (the one where you can toggle between mpg, range, outside temperature, etc.)

I remember this wasn't as obvious as I had expected. Referring to the Owner's Manual, but otherwise from memory, this is what you do:

1. Enter the Maintenance option as shown on screen 6 of p.2-24 of the Owners Manual (from the screen shown, press bottom button until "MAINTENANCE" is highlighted, then press the top button to Enter into that mode).

2. Press the bottom button to highlight the option you wish to reset (you have 5 options as shown in the "MAINTENANCE:" section on p.2-26), then the top button to Enter that submenu.

3. Press the bottom button to highlight RESET, then the top button to select it.

4. Press the bottom button to Reset, then the top to Set (which I think is like a verification that you REALLY want to Reset).

That should do it. Follow the screen prompts to back out, or access another option similarly.

HTH.

It worked. A little fiddling with menus, nothing too serious. Thanks to everyone for your help!
