I recently had my engine rebuilt (SR20DET) and I did not remove the oil filter bracket...the machine shop did, so I do not know exactly what goes there as far as a gasket or o-ring or anything like that. I searched the FSM and it wasn't very clear on this particular part.Does anyone know if its just two o-rings, or copper rings, or is there another type of gasket for it?

If anyone has a guide, reference, etc. on installing this part, I'd appreciate it.

Specifically, I am referring to the part where you OIL filter screws in and there are four bolts holding it on to the block. I can provide pictures if that will help.

Thanks in advance.

It's a pair of o-rings. I ordered mine through Nissan when I was rebuilding mine, but any o-ring from an auto parts store of the correct size will work.

Just regular black o-rings? We found some copper o-rings that have a sort of tube coming out of them that fits perfectly in the hole but wasn't sure if it was the right part or not.

Any other gasket/sealant? Also what torque is applied to the 4 bolts putting the sandwhich plate back on to the block...I didn't see any mention of gasket or torque in the FSM...

I just took these pics since mine is sitting in the garage. I'm not sure what to call them, or where to get them, but I also want to replace them before I put this sandwich plate back on.

Yea, I was about to respond. They look like little hats. They are the same for FWD SR's (93 Sentra SE-R) so Nissan/NAPA/Autozone should be able to get them.

Does any one know what the bolts should be torqued to?
