Oil filler plug os 82 720D Stuck

720 D trans case and transmission 5 spd


The square hold is just about round.I've tried heat, PB blaster...I'm going to get a punch and smack it with a hammer this morning...Any other Ideas...? Charlie

Punched with hammer and extension...Little pickup did not help...All plugs still stuck

The plugs are actually 13mm plugs, not 1/2" (12.7mm) plugs as they appear. Harbor Freight sells a drain plug socket set which includes a 13mm 3/8" drive drain plug socket, but since your plugs are nearly rounded I'm not sure it'll do much good anymore.

You may need to weld (or have a shop do it) an extension on to be able to remove the plugs at this point. I'm not sure what to suggest.
