Hi there, I'm currently in the process of turbocharging my 86 NA manual using the turbo components from an 86 turbo manual parts car.
I'm turbocharging the 9:1 compression NA engine. The question I have is where do I get oil pressure for the turbo oil feed line? Is there an already existing port on the block in the same place it would be on a turbo block or do I need to go somewhere else for pressure? Someone suggested some kind of sandwich oil filter thing that uses the oil filter port as a feed line... This seems like it could work but I have no idea how those things work or where to buy them.... I'm sure someone has run across this issue before... ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS ON THE SWAP PLEASE FEEL FREE!!

The easiest way would be to put a T fitting in your oil pressure sending unit port.

The VG30E has an oil port on the drivers side fo the block near the bottom at the front just below the stock turbo motor mount bosses, all the VG's have this port. The stock oil line attaches there with a banjo bolt as any protruding fitting would likely not clean the motor mount bracket. If you were doing some custom configuration you could use a T on the oil sender as Ben suggested, that's how it was supplied on the L28ET's.
